Key to Zohran Mamdani’s win in New York City’s mayoral race on November 4th was his hatred of Israel and refusal to condemn terrorism against Jews. He promotes the lie, among others, that Israel is an apartheid state. As mayor he promises to boycott Israeli and Jewish concerns. He has plans to end the Technion Cornell partnership in NY because Technion is Israeli. If he succeeds in this and other boycotts against Israel, it will mean significant economic damage to New York. Most Jewish New Yorkers fear what lies ahead for them under Mamdani’s leadership.
While lies about Israel abound, we are grateful that Christians United for Israel (CUFI) stands for the truth, shared through its Israel Course. With amazing dedication and open hearts, the Agape Faith Church in Clemmons NC held a ten week class using the CUFI materials. NCCI was honored to be invited to speak at one of the sessions. We are so grateful for the church’s warm reception and willingness to engage in topics of Israeli history, up to and including more recent events.
We look forward to seeing our friends again at the 2026 Christians United for Israel (CUFI) Summit. We hope you’ll join us there too!

False Narratives Promoted at Local High School
On the other hand, the Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) at Chapel Hill High school, held a “walkout for Gaza” in early October. According to their post, “The students will not tolerate genocide supported by our government.” This is a thinly veiled accusation against Israel and the US.
The faculty advisor for YDSA has an obligation to teach the students the truth, that Israel has not perpetrated a genocide in Gaza. Instead he is promoting the antisemitic lie, via false accusations against Jews. This show of power against Israel, i.e. Jews, instigates antisemitism at the school. NCCI has been investigating the situation and is taking action.

From our work on campus, speaking up at local city councils, raising awareness through articles and classes, NCCI takes action to protect the Jewish community and stand up for Israel and Jewish rights. We hope you will support NCCI’s work.
