Anti-Israel propaganda comes in many forms, this time from the movie industry. As Honest Reporting makes clear, there is a new genre— “Palestinian Holocaust” films. These projects take disputed events and turn them into “history,” presenting them as factual. Such is the case with the Oscar-nominated The Voice of Hind Rajab. It portrays the death of a 6 year old girl as a victim of the IDF. It features the heart-breaking child’s voice asking for help, but falsely implies that the tragedy is Israel’s fault.
The film was produced by Watermelon Pictures via Hamas-supporting Qatar. It’s also worthwhile to note that the Hind Rajab Foundation has ties to terrorism. The ADL reports this group targets any and all IDF soldiers to face “justice” for supposedly killing Hind.
The film is garnering a lot of attention and accolades, coming from anti-Israel activists in Hollywood. Just as such activists in the Library Association reward propaganda books, anti-Israel antisemites in Hollywood reward propaganda against Israel, like this movie and others. As a result, Hind Rajab is now showing in New York, California, Seattle, Chicago, Denver and more. It may be coming to a theater near you.
It’s already here in North Carolina. When our community members learned that the Cary Theater (using public funding) scheduled showings of this film, they contacted those in charge to express concern. Cary leaders responded that the film had won Golden Globe recognition. They said it represents diversity. NCCI believes this is an inadequate response and requires further investigation and follow-up.

Sample letter:
The Cary Theater recently scheduled showings of “The Voice of Hind Rajab.” This controversial production presents the death of a 6 year old girl as though it were due to Israeli forces. However, complex facts surrounding the incident have not been verified. Such propaganda is deliberately provocative and incendiary. It incites hatred of Jews at a time when antisemitism is already on the rise. The Hind Rajab Foundation leaders have ties to terrorism. The ADL reports that the group’s mission is to hunt down Israeli soldiers to “meet justice” for supposedly causing Hind’s death.
I ask that the City Council investigate the process behind this film selection. Also, to honor the city’s commitment to diversity, please show alternative films such as Screams Before Silence, October H8te, We Will Dance Again, October 7th: Voices of Pain, Hope and Heroism or The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue.
Sincerely,
