The Duke University Press (DUP) is notorious for publishing antisemitic blood libels about Jews. The term blood libel comes from the false accusation that Jews kill Christian children to use their blood for Passover rituals.
DUP published Jasbir Puar’s Right to Maim in 2017. Puar claimed that Israelis intentionally maim “Palestinians” (Muslim Arabs) in order to control them and for economic gain. Despite the outcry from the Jewish community, Duke leaders including President Price and then-provost Sally Kornbluth (now MIT President) took no meaningful action. DUP continues to publish antisemitic material.
Duke’s Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), a pro-terrorist organization, is now touting their latest blood libel. This time they claim that Israelis i.e. Jews steal the skin of “martyrs” (terrorists). They also accuse Israel of killing “Palestinians” for their kidneys. See above.

Letter to President Price
Duke’s Students for Justice in Palestine began this semester by spreading modern-day blood libels against your Jewish and Israeli students, claiming that Israel is killing Palestinians to harvest their skin and kidneys. Last semester, this group marched across campus calling for violence against Jews (“Intifada”) and was likely responsible for the graffiti calling for Jewish genocide (“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”).
We know where this kind of rhetoric incitement leads—and it is not okay for you to allow this on your campus. Their behavior must violate Duke code of conduct for harassment.
It’s time for action. Empty words won’t do. Other universities including Brandeis, Columbia, George Washington, and Rutgers have suspended their SJP chapters for similar racist behaviors. Take immediate measures to suspend SJP and please inform me of any other disciplinary actions you take.
